Messi's record-breaking signature sneakers sold at auction for nearly 5 million

Argentine football star Lionel Messi's sneakers were sold at a charity auction for 125,000 pounds (about 4.8 million Taiwan dollars). These shoes were used by him to set the record for the most goals scored by a single club last year.

On December 23 last year, Messi wore these shoes to play Real Valadoli in La Liga. At that time, he set a record for the most goals scored by a single club (644 goals, the original record was that Billy scored 643 goals for Santos). This pair of shoes was originally donated to the National Art Museum of Catalonia in Spain, and entered a charity auction one month after the exhibition. Unexpectedly, it was sold for a triple price of 125,000 pounds from 40,000 pounds on April 20.

According to ESPN, the parent company of the shoes is a product of the well-known sports brand adidas, belonging to the "Nemeziz Messi 19.1" series. The shoes also have Messi's autograph and the names of his wife and children.
